" . . . I remember Del Courtney's band very well.  He used to play at Rio Nido during the summers in late 40's and 50's.  I participated in a talent show he sponsored and, although I did not win, he let me sing 'Out of Nowhere' with the band, during his evening dance program.  I picked a key too low but . . .   Del was courteous, kind and fun.  It was 1951, I think . . . "
